Classmates from the 80s
SALLY RASMUSSEN LEOGRANDE, '81
Jefferson: Great teachers! Great friends! Great memories!
Being a cheerleader in my junior year and throwing a
victory party for the football team and Charlie Banfield, '80, eating twelve hot dogs and
a whole bowl of my mom's macaroni salad.
Working on homecoming floats in my grandmother's basement,
especially the one we built on a forty-foot flatbed truck and Mr. Vierra's expression when
we pulled onto his beautiful field.
Waiting in the pouring rain to hear that Half Moon Bay had upset
Serramonte to give us our first NPL football championship and the hugs and kisses of all
those soggy players and friends.
Being on two championship badminton teams.
Going to Outdoor Education training camp with my best friend,
Amy.
Our class being charged for a graffiti smear, "'81
rules", which was really done by guys from the class of '79 because they thought our
class was cool.
Being at every Alumni Reunion and working on the 75th Anniversary
Celebration at Jefferson and meeting "Indians" from 1926-1998. We are the
greatest! Go, Blue and Gold/Purple and Gold!
