HOW DOES A REUNION COMMITTEE KEEP IN TOUCH?
Click on the
little pictures to see them full size. |
| |
One thing nice about organizing a reunion is that you get "back
in touch" with old friends.
Thad Gil called to invite the committee on a little limo ride to
visit the Napa Wineries and he asked me to join them.
I jumped at the chance!
Sally, Don and I drove
down from Citrus Heights to meet everyone at Vilma Mixco's home. |
Thad was there to greet
us. |
Of course, we had to check everything out,
load "stuff",
pose for a pictures and then we were off. |
Vilma Mixco, Sally Rasmussen and Danice
Pokorny are the leaders for the reunion committee and Thad is
giving a helping hand. |
| |
. |
Thad was a gracious host and was prepared
with champagne and
wonderful "munchies". |
Our first stop was for effect.
Don't you have to pull into McDonalds in a Limo? |
Now we were ready for the "real" thing.
The Mondavi Winery was our first tasting treat and then picture
taking. |
On the road again to our next adventure. |
The Leaping Frog Winery was more than we
expected. We had fun picking "stuff" to take home. |
| |
If
you remember Vilma from the Jefferson days, you might remember
that she had a little adventurous streak. She found an
open door and took an unguided tour of the insides of the winery. |
Next, was a winery perfect for me.
CHAMPAGNE everywhere! And then we were off to lunch and lots of
water. |
Our final stop was in a lovely area that made
for some great pictures. |
Since I don't like scenery without people,
Thad and Vilma smiled for me. |
It's a beautiful valley with great
places to rest and get out of the heat of the day. |
| |
While Danice catches up reading the TOTEM
POLE, the rest of us say goodbye to a lovely day as we head back
to Daly City. . |
| |
Thanks, Thad, we had a great time!
See you at the reunion. |
