Just a few pictures to take you back...

THEY CHEERED FOR YOU
AND YOU BROUGHT HOME THE FIRST VARSITY CHAMPIONSHIP IN FOOTBALL.

Click on the picture and take a look in full view.

Victor Chiles accepts his CHAMPIONSHIP trophy from Coach McGuire.

Fred Proano accepts his CHAMPIONSHIP patch with a John Madden autograph on the back.

Daly City Mayor and 1950 grad, Al Teglia declares Jefferson Day in honor of the champs.  Captains, Richard Rodgers and Charlie Banfield accept the proclamation.

So many great athletes on the team, but one went off to the University of California and made a name for himself.   Richard Rodgers instigated the famous "PLAY" against Stanford which has been seen over and over and over on TV, was a pioneer in Arena Football and is now coaching.   He was at Portland State last season, but will be at New Mexico State this season.   I wanted to see the "Coach" coaching Nick Chenault, '00, at the Sacramento game, but Nick had gotten hurt.   We did get a chance to talk with Richard and meet his son.

Melinda Barry is often seen around Jefferson.  She is a member of the DCPD and works with students at Jeff.
