INDIAN SUMMER
REUNION

We no longer have a "Keeper of the Records" for the Class of 1957.  Does anyone want to take on the job?
Your 50th is coming.

Jeff Chief
I'll keep "plugging" along and taking those great calls from your classmates until someone takes over the task.

To get all of the information, drop Jeff Chief a note with your "snail mail" address--if you are not a member.  I will send you a complimentary issue of our latest Alumni Totem Pole which has all of the details about the
Jefferson Alumni 25th Anniversary Reunion in Old Sacramento
Keep watching this page for more information as things develop.

They received the latest Totem Pole,  Linda sat down and made out a check and purchased the first ticket to our Indian Summer Reunion.

Mike Wedlake with Elman & Elsie Rose

The Roses are planning to be in Sacramento and Mike is always looking for a place to play golf with his old friends.
Mike, I can walk to the golf course!

Andy Estigoy

INDIAN PRIDE
Andy showed up at the Ribbon Cutting ceremony sporting his Block J sweater.
He enjoyed the tour of the remodeled school, but everyone wished it was Jeff  before 1963.

1957ers
enjoy seeing old friends.  They've been seen at the Bay-to-Breakers, on the streets in Italy, certainly on the golf course.  If an old friend is being honored, a few will always show up, too.

JEFFERSON, OUR ALMA MATER

Some of the pictures that were supposed to be used for the 1957 yearbook have been found.
They need to be identified and then I can put a few out here for you.

There is always new history being made by 1957ers and I'll share that, too.
Just look below.

1956 FOOTBALL SEASON -- CHECK OUT THE STANDS

30 Years Later

Do you remember JACK GREEN?

  Did you see this movie?

CATCHING UP ON THE LIFE OF AN OLD FRIEND

"Bud" Riggs wanted to get in touch with his old friend, Jack Green,  and contacted me for help.  I sent off an e-mail note to Jack and waited for his quick reply.

One of my favorite things to do is to "google" a name and see what comes up.  I did this several years ago for Jack Green and a few pages popped up. So, I tried it again.   If you want to know what your old friend has been up to lately--try it!   Not only do you get a zillion hits in English--you will find many foreign sites as well praising the former "barber from Daly City."  I even found a site that has an audio interview with him.
I have shared the news of Jack's nomination for the Academy Award for his Cinematography on Clint Eastwood's Award winner--Unforgiven.  But, did you know that he was the Director of Photography for many of "Clint's" films beginning with Heartbreak Ridge?   AND, the list of stars that he has brought to the screen with his very own artistic camera style is overwhelming.   His newest works are: Against the Ropes starring Meg Ryan and Omar Epps, and Fifty First Kisses starring Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore.  Watch those credits.
When I found out that he had directed and did the Cimematography for TRAVELLER, I set out to find myself a copy for our Jefferson History collection.   Successfully, I might add.
Jack has earned his successes and is highly rated on the list of the great Cinematographers.      Some of you might have seen a recent HBO movie PRETTY WHEN YOU CRY, starring Sam Elliott and Jamie Kennedy which he also directed.

Jack's reply to my note and all the details of life in front of and behind the camera is being saved for the Summer Totem Pole--members only!  But I will share a more recent picture!

coming soon and if you have something you would like to contribute, please do.
Corrections are always welcome!!

We will always remember the time we shared together.
