LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF THE CLASS OF 1926

We, the Class of May, 1926, being mentally capable, but realizing the evils of the near future that are apt to affect our lives without the guidance of the beloved faculty, and desiring to dispose of our most important affairs, do trouble our gigantic intellects to make and publish the following, to be published as our last will and testament.
We do give, bequeath, and transmit all of our property of every nature and description as follows:
The Class of '26 leaves our classroom and beloved class teacher, Mr. C.K. Binckley, to the class who will appreciate them most.

I, the mighty Victor Saarinen, do majestically leave my football ability to Richard Bauer, and to Jack Sanderson, I leave my position as sergeant-of-arms, which I have filled so capably.
I, Harold Fischer, leave my infatuation for L. H. to Chester McGrath, my nearest rival.
I, "Larry" Vireno, leave my executive ability to anyone who thinks he can fill the office of president as well as I have.
I, Albert Saarinen, leave my trail of broken hearts to Chas. "Coach" Cooley.
I, Louis Plansky, will my undying love and affection for Rae Wolfe to "Brown Eyes" Richter.
I, Martha Worst, bequeath my wool socks to "Pretzel" Hitzelburger.
I, Rosa Bauer, do joyfully leave my big, handsome, robust Dave "Hunk" Gehringer to Janet Blume.
I, Edward Goldkuhl, bequeath my sole estate (candy stand on the athletic field) to "Bozo" Teel.
I, Mildred Ross, bequeath my spit curl to Miss Torello, well-known slave driver of the Algebra department.
I, Rae Wolfe, leave my boyish bob to Mrs. Warner, she of the History department of no little renown.
I, Edna Hooton, bequeath Chester McGrath to a more unfortunate person than I.
I, Anita Varni, leave my weakness for red-headed fellows to Henrietta McKeown.
I, Winston Bargehoorn, leave my admirable photograph to Jefferson Union High School.
I, Joe Drucker, leave two of my six feet to Frank Cargilosi.
I
n witness whereof, we set our hand and seal this twenty-eighth day of May in the year of our Lord, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six.

THE SENIOR EXCHANGE
I share this with you because it gives such a wonderful look at the "times" of this class.
Do check out the nicknames; seems to be quite a fad.

"Birds" Saarinen will exchange a star for a few extra merits.
"Milly" Ross will exchange anything for a permanent wave.
"Hank" Plansky will exchange his Buick (?) for whatever you have.
"Nick" Saarinen will exchange his "heaps" for anything that can be called an automobile.
"Jake" Goldkuhl will exchange his ability for speaking for one of Rosa's Charleston lessons.
"Windy" Barghoorn will exchange one pair of roller skates for a season commute cared.
"Haa" Fischer will exchange a complete set of books for one loving glance from L. H.
"Joe" Drucker will exchange his graceful figure for an A in Algebra.
"Nity" Varni will exchange her Block J for a few extra feet.
"Rix" Bauer will give her educated feet to anyone who will take her finals.
"Ed" Hooton will exchange a book on "the Etiquette of Vamping" for a tumble from "Pretzel."
"Nooks" Wolfe will exchange her sheik "Brown Eyes" for someone less in demand.
"Larry" Vireno will exchange lessons in jazz for some in "sheiking."
"Marty" Worst will exchange her privilege of reading the Constitution at executive meetings for a new swimming suit.

Coming soon!   If you have
anything to share, please do!
