SCHOOL SONGS
Let's hear you sing "Jefferson High" with the background music.)

JEFFERSON HIGH
Tune of Peggy O'Neil

OUR COLORS
Tune of Georgette

If her teams play with their might,
That's Jefferson Hi.
If they play and play them right,
That's Jefferson Hi.
If they lose with a smile on their face,
If they win after a strenuous race,
Full of loyalty, true to royalty,
That's Jefferson Hi!
Purple and gold our colors you see.
They're as bright as bright as colors can be.
Our boys, our girls, our whole faculty,
They drive for, they strive for
Our wonderful Jefferson.
We try, we try, but we never sigh
We do or die for Jefferson Hi.
Our colors purple and gold,
They are the rarest we're told,
The best, in the west, by test.

AN EVENT TO REMEMBER
It is hard to believe that this event was possible, but if you look at the three class lists above, you can see that Jefferson's student body was very small at the time.
On April 24, 1925 the entire student body of Jefferson High went on a hike to Mt. Tamalpais.  Just what did that entail?   The group boarded the 8:30 street car from Daly City on that eventful Friday morning and rode to the Ferry Building.   There, they took the 9:45 boat to Mill Valley.  For the next several hours they climbed and finally reached the top--no roads then.   They lunched under the trees and began their trip down which proved to be more difficult than they thought it would be.   When everyone finally arrived at their meeting place in Mill Valley, they boarded the boat for home.   They arrived back at Jefferson at 10:00 p.m.
After this eventful trip, the students moved into their new high school building.

Coming soon!   Anyone have anything to share?
